I remember lining up as a child at school for the Salk vaccine.

I didn’t really know what it was all about but now I know that I was one of the lucky generations.

However it was not until I was asked to create an art piece for this exhibition that I was “Touched by Polio”.

The images I had to work with moved me to the point that at times I was quite overcome with emotion, and I feel blessed to be able to honour polio survivors in this small way.
