David Ladley is an artist of thirty years’ experience living on the Gold Coast and became involved in the “Touched by Polio” Exhibition through his contact with fellow artist and contributor, Roslyn Dux.
“I found this such an interesting project to paint. In fact my wife is also an artist so she got involved in painting the cast too. So I signed it for both of us.
We decided to pick the flowers concept on a contemporary style, a la Matisse, bright colours sort of thing.”
After completing a business career as creative director of a major advertising agency, David now concentrates solely on painting. He has painted in USA, England, New Zealand and of course Australia. David is also a former President of Royal Queensland Art Society Inc (Gold Coast).
David has held numerous solo exhibitions with many paintings now in private collections. Many of his paintings have won competition prizes. New paintings can be commissioned.
